The Otherness: Consciousness sees an object as other than itself. It also sees itself as an object for it, or its otherness. The self, which consciousness becomes through its own movement, is the object that forms from into a duality within itself. It is consciousness alone and, through thought, includes the other which is its-other-self that emerges. It is the corridor of consciousness that opens up and becomes its-other-self-for-itself. Therefore, by negating what it is in spirit, consciousness shapes into its opposite and becomes conscious of its own self, its otherness.
