Force governs itself. It possesses its own distinctiveness which, through its inner being, undermines all differences and is itself the pure simplicity that it is, which is: The underlying principle that results in appearance after first casting out all differences in itself that would undermine the appearance. It becomes the undifferentiated unity of itself, the law of its law and its being. It exists through the understanding and would not exist if consciousness did not, at first, pass into it through its own movements; its own changes. All things would be simply as appearances and not be thought of as the result of the law of forces if consciousness did not take appearance qua appearance as more than it is: The law that results in appearance as the play of forces and the unfolding of the inner being of things.
